Our pet gates make it easy to protect your dogs and your home.
Dog gates are a great way to separate kids and dogs when needed.
Pet gates can make training much easier as well.

Indoor Dog Gates

Dog gates help you keep your dog out of trouble by restricting his access to specific rooms/areas or confining him to acceptable surroundings. An indoor dog gate is a simple solution for restricting the access of your dog to specific rooms or areas of your home.  Dog safety gates can be a better alternative to simply closing a door to restrict or confine your dog.  They are not walls, but barriers that your dog can see through.  With an indoor dog gate, your dog can still see and/or hear you, which may help keep him calmer and makes him less likely to misbehave.

Even if you are using a crate, you will want to also have an indoor dog gate to confine your dog or puppy to a specific room or area. Your dog may not be allowed in specific areas of the house, or you may want your puppy to roam freely in the kitchen but nowhere else.

Dogs in the house need to know who is in charge and what the house rules are.

Not putting rules in place can cause a lot of problems in the long term.   If your dog does not know you are in charge, he will want to assert himself, and this can lead to agression problems.

The best way to avoid this issue is to set firm boundaries for your dog.  If he physically can not do any thing he chooses, but you CAN, he will see that you have more access and therefore more authority in the family.

There is no way for you to be in the same room as the dog ALL the time. Closing a dog in a seperate room, where he doesn't feel part of the household isn't a great solution.  Doing this, it might cause some separation anxiety, as the dog is unable to see through the door and does not understand why you have left him.

If you have an indoor dog gate, you create a barrier between yourself and the dog, so he is unable to go into the restricted areas of the house, BUT the dog can see through it and the anxiety is no longer a problem.

Your dog should not be given complete run of your house until it is completely trained.
